Sacred Art

It all started when...

Someone broke into my house in Hawaii and took the drawers out of my jewelry box. They left the shell of the antique box which was too nice to throw away. I put it in my closet in my studio and kind of forgot about it. One day I found it and decided to create a piece with it. The original title was What's A Nice Jewish Girl Like You Doing Creating A Religious Shrine Like This? I later changed the title to Metamorphosis Of A Jewelry Box (which you see pictured here).
It wasn't till I moved to Austin that I decided to enter the Arte Sagrado Sacred Art national yearly competition held by Concordia University. I don't know where this art comes from, but somehow it's coming out of me. In fact, I've been told, that a lot of my art has a spiritual quality to it.
